The littlest house on the beach
We made with littlest stones, gathered beneath
The shadiest pines, and the coolest breeze
There’s so much time, to build these things
When you still love me
You say that I’m not myself
I know I’ve changed
Switch me with someone else
It would be a boring day on the beach
I wait for the night, to set my flares
Then I point them to sky and hope you’d be there
A flicker of light, neon stretches water
There’s no more time, to build this shelter
Just love me again
Just love me again
Just love me again
It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound. And because of that (and Sufjan's talent), every track on there is a standout track. Angkasawan
Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
